Rev. Albert Lyle, Jr Obituary

A Time to be Born
Rev. Albert M. Lyle, Jr was born January 12, 1956 into the loving arms of Albert and
Orlean Lyle in Chicago, Illinois.
A Time to Build Up
He was educated in the Cook County School District and was a graduate of South
Shore High School, Class of 1974. Throughout his life, Albert received several
professional certifications for nursing, CDL and business administration. He was an
entrepreneur at heart, owning business that spanned from restaurants and home
appliances. Later in his life he honed his skills in nursing and received a 5 Star Award
for patient care.
He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Greater Mount Olive
Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, IL under the leadership of his Pastor Eugene
Henley. In 1978, he received the call from the Lord and was ordained as a Minster of
the Gospel in 1981. Rev. Lyle went on to pastor New Spiritual Light Baptist Church in
Chicago, IL, but he felt the call to minister in Northwest Indiana where he served in
several associate pastor positions. In 2011, Rev. Lyle united with Greater Union
Baptist Church under the leadership of pastor Dr. Michael A. Thompson, Sr., Rev.
Lyle served as one of the Associate Ministers, and each Sunday service as the pulpit
conductor. His passion was serving the indigent during the Outreach Ministry
Breakfast every Sunday morning, he would bring words of encouragement.
He later married in holy matrimony the love of his life Addie Mae Lyle. Their love
was infectious and touched so many lives along the way. One of the last thoughts on
his mind was his “boo boo” Addie, who he loved and cared for with all his heart.
