Esterlene Gipson Carter was born to her loving parents, Dan Gilmore and Arvie Gipson Gilmore on January 21,1934. After a life full of blessings and grace, Esterlene was blessed once again to her reward of rest for her years of love and labor on February 1, 2024.
Loving referred to as “Baby” Esterlene was anything but. She loved God and her family deeply, which was displayed verbally and regularly. Her nieces and nephews in one way or another became her very own babies although from her union with Curtis Carter she shared none.
Esterlene enjoyed music, sports, gardening, cooking, cleaning and the outdoors. She would often say, "It's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful day." while gazing out the window at the day our heavenly Father allowed us to see.
Esterlene was preceded in death by her parents, Dan Gilmore and Arvie Gipson Gilmore, her husband, Curtis Carter, and two sisters, Mae McMillan and Willie Belle Lymons.
She leaves to cherish her memories, five siblings Jewel Thomas, Christine Stamps, Leon(Audrey)Gilmore, W.T. Gilmore, Henry Lee(Judy) Gilmore and a beautiful host of adoring nieces, nephews and cousins.
