Mrs. Bertha Lee Stallworth Milhouse, “Bird” as she was affectionately
called, was born on December 25, 1952, in Beatrice, Alabama to the late
Mr. Bradford Roland Stallworth and Mrs. Lizzie Mae Stallworth.
Bertha graduated from Woodham High School, Pensacola Junior College,
and the University of West Florida where she received a bachelor’s degree
in social science. She went on to serve in the United States Navy until her
retirement. After retiring from the Navy, she obtained her master’s degree
from the University of South Alabama.
Bertha lived a full life, she was a dutiful daughter, a comforting sister, an
understanding friend, and a loving mother. She was extremely intelligent
and had a high prowess for learning. She was gifted and could play
various musical instruments, including the piano, electric guitar,
saxophone, and drums.
Bertha was blessed with one loving daughter, Angela R. Milhouse.
On November 6, 2023, at the age 70, God felt her work on this earth was
complete and well done.
The memory of Bertha’s life will be forever cherished by her loving and
devoted family. She is survived by her daughter Angela R. Milhouse, three
devoted sisters: Stella Mae Stallworth, Eugenia S. Baldwin, and
Jacqueline S. Brown; one grandson: Jermain Boggan (Nigeria), three
great-grandchildren: Jeniya Boggan, Jada Boggan, and Jermain Boggan
Jr., four aunts, four uncles, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
Bertha is preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Hilda Re Stallworth;
three loving and devoted brothers: Bradford Stallworth, Harry Stallworth,
and Lewis Stallworth; two aunts: Mary Williams and Dorothy Stallworth;
six uncles: Johnnie Stallworth, Willie James Stallworth, Floyd Thomas,
Willie Thomas, Joe Thomas and Alfred Thoma
